Fun Weekend

The Rangers opening day was Friday afternoon!  SP thought he was going to make it, but sadly he had an out of town buyer come in so he missed it.  But, he made it home in time to watch the rest of the game on TV.  The title company he works with all the time delivered him this package full of fun stuff!  I'd say he made the best of not being at the ball park :)

Friday evening, we drove up to Flower Mound to have dinner with Jennifer, Greg, Andrew, Zach, Boyd, Carol, and no Claire :( The wait was over an hour, which was no fun.  But we finally got seated and margaritas appeared soon after :)

Claire is always with us.  But this time, as Carol kept teling me, "She is out!". I did not like this, so we all started texting her pictures, which in turn started a picture text war!  It went a little something like this....

She went to her High School baseball game, instead!

Confession: You might remember me saying I was going to limit myself to 1 margarita.  I had 2, whoops!  Did you really think I was serious??

Saturday was the most beautiful day we have had all year!  It was a little windy, but still a lovely day.

I relaxed most of the morning and watched my favorite Saturday morning cooking shows :)

This was The Pioneer Woman telling the story of Lad's grandmother.  Love those horses!

Sean found a house that sparked both of our interest.  It was quite a hike out to this property, but it was such a beautiful day, we decided we really wanted to go view it!  It was 40 minutes away, and the drive was so pretty.  Trees, rolling hills, cows, horses, barns, ranch style homes.  When we got to the house, it had a gated entrance and guess what was right next to the gate?  The house.  I instantly knew that location wasn't anything of interest anymore.  We really wanted to see the inside, but the owner was there and clearly not leaving for the showing. So....we did the only thing we knew to do.  Canceled the showing and chalked it up to some good, quality time together in the car, on a pretty day, with beautiful scenery :)

Around 6 o'clock we headed towards downtown Fort Worth.  It was my neighbor Shemele's bday.  We ended up meeting her and her cousin for dinner at Chuy's, then we went down the street to Reservoir.  MISTAKE!  It was paaaaaaaaaacked!  It was an open aired place, and with the day being so nice out, and basketball on, there was hardly even a place to stand!  We waited on all her friends to arrive and then decided to head to Barcadia instead, hoping for more room!  Bingo!  This place was perfect!  We had so much fun!  We hadn't been out in a long time, so we really enjoyed ourselves!

We did manage to venture out for dinner at the Parks' around 6, though.  Kevin, Kristi, and Asher are in town so it was nice to get to spend some time with them and play with Asher.  He loves his Uncle Sean!  SP had the genius idea for them to have preggo bellies and then they started posing for pictures, haha!  It was HILARIOUS!
